Coupling of Electromagnetic Field Computations with
Particle Flow of Electrically Charged Particles

Abstract
The particle-in-cell method is coupled with boundary-fitted coordinates in
order to realistically model particle flow of electrically charged
particles in technical, electromagnetic devices. Numerical algorithms
describing the transition between the grid model and the mesh-free model
are developed. Applications are presented in which these techniques have
been successfully applied.
