EDP Sciences is proud to announce the launching of a new bibliographic search engine on its web site: EDPS Link Manager.
EDPS Link Manager is a very convenient research tool for scientists and readers. From a simple bibliographic reference noted down from an article, one will be able to gain access to the article in question, provided this article is available here.
Indeed, all articles published here, which are uniformly indexed and referenced in our data base, regardless of journal, volumes or year, can be easily looked for and found.
EDPS Link Manager
is a tool - developed in collaboration with the American Physical Society, whose APS Link Manager is similar - designed to allow for an easy access to the articles from a simple URL and using parameters such as journal name, volume number and page number.For instance, the following "classical" reference:
corresponds to the following URL:
and will give access to the article of EPJ B starting on page 73 in Vol. 3.
Special URL resolution for EPJdirect A-D and Les Annales de Physique:
For EPJdirect A, B, C & D and Les Annales de Physique an additional paramater is requested, i.e., the issue number. For instance the following reference:

With EDPS Link Manager, the abstract becomes the access point for all information relative to the article: full-text PDF or PS files, errata, comments, electronic-only material, authors' e-mail address, etc.
The launching of EDPS Link Manager is the first step of a broader project that includes providing reciprocal hyperlinks between EDPS and APS' sites in bibliographical references of EPJ B & D, EPJ Applied Physics, JP and EPL on one side, and Physical Review on the other. Links to cited documents are included in all online articles starting in 1999 (see demonstration below).
Note that in the EPJ A-D series, reciprocal links will be provided for EPJ B and EPJ D only, since the production of EPJ A and EPJ C is handled by Springer-Verlag and EDP Sciences only has a mirror of these journals here.

A search can be performed either by typing in the exact URL for the article, or by using a form.
