EDP Sciences and Cambridge University Press announced today that following the success of the first wave of EDP Sciences journals to be electronically hosted, marketed, and sold by Cambridge University Press, five more journals will make the move to Cambridge Journals Online.
Both publishers share a similar culture and mission, with a long and rich history of publishing high-quality scientific publications that have enduring relevance. The continued cooperation between both publishers will maximize the dissemination of scientific research through Cambridge's global footprint.
The new titles starting January 2012 will include:
Mechanics & Industry (formerly Mécanique & Industries):
With papers from industry, research and development departments and academic institutions, this journal acts as an interface between research and industry, coordinating and disseminating scientific and technical research in mechanics in relation to industrial activities.
International Journal in Metrology and Quality Engineering:
Publishing articles dealing with applied metrology and advances in the technology and techniques of measurement in industry and in research, this interdisciplinary journal is relevant to all areas of applied science where accurate measurements are vital for quality research. Fields covered include mechanics, electronics, physics, chemistry, biology, and medicine.
Revue de Métallurgie - International Journal of Metallurgy:
This journal publishes high-quality peer-reviewed research papers in the field of ferrous and non-ferrous metallurgy. It seeks to strengthen the dialogue between science and industry and emphasise the importance of technological innovation at a time when the metallurgy industry is challenged by issues surrounding energy, raw materials, and the environment.
EAS Publications Series:
Founded in 1990, the European Astronomical Society (ESA) aims to contribute to and promote the advancement of all aspects of astronomy in Europe. The EAS Publications Series was launched to publish the proceedings of selected scientific meetings, including the proceedings of conferences, symposia, and workshops, held in Europe and beyond. The ESA review process ensures that only research of the highest scientific standards is accepted for publication.
Journal of Dentofacial Anomalies and Orthodontics:
Publishes articles by distinguished authors about major developments in dentofacial orthopedics, both in relation to basic science and to clinical applications. This richly illustrated publication has become a reference standard thanks to its clearly written and well edited articles.
