4open, the multidisciplinary, open access journal that publishes all types of articles, from different fields in natural sciences, technology, and medicine, is pleased to announce a new partnership with SciencePOD to make the journal’s topical scientific content available to a wider audience.

"Key summaries" is a series of easy to understand free articles aimed at non-experts written by SciencePOD writers. These short, digestible summaries – taken from published 4open papers – highlight and present ideas in a clear, concise and compelling way. Readers do not therefore have to be a specialist to access and understand the latest topics featured in 4open scholarly articles. If interested, readers can go on to access the full article text at the end of each featured "Key summaries" article.

Claus Roll, Senior Editor Journals at EDP Sciences, commented "By working with SciencePOD, 4open and EDP Sciences aim to bring the latest findings from all branches of science to as wide an audience as possible." He went on to say "'Key summaries' will be provided by the scientific writers at SciencePOD and will describe complex questions and interactions and summarise key findings. EDP Sciences believes that this will help to improve the impact of these findings for the benefit of scientists, policy makers as well as the general public interested in science."

"We are delighted to collaborate with 4open and help raise the profile of the exciting research published in this new open access journal," says Sabine Louët, SciencePOD’s Founder and CEO. "Thanks to its global community of science journalists and editors, SciencePOD is in a unique position to find the right expert talent to convey the findings of the research published in 4open and translate them into clear, concise, compelling stories. We thus hope to contribute to furthering open science and multi-disciplinary collaboration."
