As we approach the end of a difficult 2020, EDP Sciences is pleased to host the fourth scientific writing masterclass with the Université Paris Saclay. Taking place online 14-15 December 2020, this masterclass aims to support distance learning for researchers and PhD students in the engineering and materials science discipline.

This scientific writing masterclass is offered free of charge to young researchers and PhD students associated with the Université Paris-Saclay “Engineering and Systems Sciences” graduate school. Anne Ruimy and Isabelle Auffret-Babak, Senior Publishing Editors from EDP Sciences, will prepare and deliver the masterclass through an online platform with the support of Jean-Pierre Birat, the Editor-in-Chief of Matériaux et Techniques.

The scientific writing masterclass will take place over two days, with the first providing an overview of scholarly publishing and an introduction to ethics, open science, and article promotion, and the second focusing on hands-on writing, editing, and reviewing of abstracts and articles. For this, participants will use NESTOR, the new online submission system from EDP Sciences.
