EDP Sciences Cambridge University Press

EDP Sciences has signed a partnership agreement to publish and disseminate scientific journals with Cambridge University Press.

The scientific journals involved in this agreement will be exclusively distributed by Cambridge University Press and their content will be hosted on the English-language online platform, Cambridge Journals Online (CJO). The cooperation of both publishers will maximize the dissemination of scientific research through Cambridge’s global footprint.

Both publishers share a similar culture and mission, with a long and rich history of publishing high quality scientific publications that have enduring relevance.

« These shared values have made the decision to enter into this agreement a much more natural process and we are pleased to be working with EDP Sciences. » commented Simon Ross, Global Journals Director at Cambridge University Press.

Cambridge University Press is an international academic publisher and a department of the prestigious University of Cambridge, consistently ranked as one of the world’s leading universities. Continuously operating since 1584, the university press today now publishes over 250 of the world’s top research journals and some 2,500 books per year.

Created in 1920, EDP Sciences group publishes 55 scientific journals of which 30 are in English and distributed in more than 80 countries as well as a catalogue of 400 books.

This major distribution agreement is in line with the development of EDP Sciences group strategy led by Jean-Marc Quilbé, Managing Director at EDP Sciences, and his team.

« We are very happy with this agreement that will enable various scientific publications to join us. The partnership with Cambridge further expands the group’s reach internationally while consolidating its position as a leading French science publisher. Most importantly we retain our ability to continue to offer high-quality editorial and production services for our journals » remarked Jean-Marc Quilbé.
