EDP Sciences is pleased to announce that the Muséum national d’Histoire naturelle (MNHN) has chosen NESTOR to manage article submission and peer review for five of its scientific journals.

NESTOR (New Editorial System Tool for Research) is a submission system developed and launched by EDP Sciences in 2020, the first to fully integrate video submissions via Cadmore Media. Several journals have already placed their trust in NESTOR and we are delighted to see this number grow.

Under the direction of Laurence Bénichou, Head of Scientific Publications, the Muséum national d’Histoire naturelle publishes 10 peer-reviewed journals in diamond open access. The journals "Adansonia", "Cryptogamie Mycologie", "Cryptogamie Bryologie", "Cryptogamie Algologie", "Geodiversitas" will all benefit from NESTOR's ease of use and latest features.

The introduction of NESTOR has already saved the journals' editorial offices time in relation to various administrative tasks. In addition to NESTOR’s ease of use, the Museum reports that they chose EDP Sciences for our clear pricing, with no hidden costs, and our ability to manage large files (more than one gigabyte). The editors also appreciate the great availability of the EDP Sciences team and its efficiency in solving the various problems encountered during the adaptation of this new and constantly improving tool. NESTOR will be rolled out to the remaining MNHN journals in due course. « This collaboration is just the beginning of an excellent partnership between EDP Sciences and MNHN,” commented Jérôme Lepage, Chief Information Officer, EDP Sciences. “It shows that NESTOR is a flexible and affordable option for a range of societies and institutions pursuing publishing activities”, adds Agnès Henri, the Managing Director.

We would like to thank all of the Museum's editors for their friendly cooperation and enthusiastic involvement in the implementation of NESTOR.
