EDP Sciences and TIB continue their successful cooperation

EDP Sciences and TIB – Leibniz Information Centre for Science and Technology have renewed their longstanding Open Access Agreement for another year, benefitting authors affiliated with academic institutions across Germany. The agreement continues to offer a 20% discount on Article Processing Charges (APCs) in 2023 and covers all EDP Sciences journals that are financed through the APC model.

In the past three years, almost 100 researchers have made use of the deal and published their work in Open Access, with numbers rising steadily. TIB provides the necessary contractual and financial framework for research institutions and their authors in its mission to promote unrestricted access to scientific knowledge and to champion Open Science.

EDP Sciences is also committed to furthering the unrestricted access to research findings. Alongside journals that charge APCs, EDP Sciences also publishes in its portfolio journals under the “Subscribe to Open” (S2O) model, diamond open access journals and journals that permit authors to choose the publishing fee themselves (“Liberty APC”). Information on the participating journals, conditions and the title-specific fees can be found here.
