Maths Science Publishing Masterclass in partnership with the Université Paris-Saclay, 12-13 October 2021
- Details
We are pleased to announce that the next session in our Science Publishing Masterclasses series has been scheduled for 12-13 October 2021 in partnership, once again, with the Lumen Learning Center of the Université Paris-Saclay. Unlike recent sessions which were delivered online, this workshop will take place in person at the Institut de Mathématique d’Orsay.
The subject focus of this Masterclass will be mathematics and it is offered free of charge to young researchers and PhD students associated with the Université Paris-Saclay. The two-day session will be delivered by a specialist team led by Anne Ruimy, Senior Publishing Editor, EDP Sciences. Anne is delighted to be joined by Amandine Véber, CNRS, École Polytechnique and Director of Publications at the Société de Mathématiques Appliquées et Industrielles (SMAI) and Sylvie Sallé, Lumen Learning Center. She will also be supported by colleagues from EDP Sciences, Isabelle Auffret-Babak (Editorial), Catherine Brassac (Production) and Maria Campbell (Marketing).
The scientific writing masterclass will take place over two days, with the first providing an overview of scholarly publishing and an introduction to ethics, open science, and article promotion, and the second focusing on hands-on writing, editing, and reviewing of abstracts and articles. For this, participants will use NESTOR, the new online submission system from EDP Sciences.
PhD students of Paris-Saclay University can register for this Masterclass on the ADUM platform (by 7 October).
