Online scientific writing masterclass in partnership with Durham University - 15 to 17 March 2021
- Details

We are pleased to announce that the first scientific writing masterclass to be delivered by EDP Sciences in 2021 will take place online from 15 to 17 March.
Within the framework of EDP Sciences masterclass programme, this workshop is sponsored and hosted by Durham University (UK). Participants, 15 PhD students, all take part in i-CONN, a European training programme which consists of 10 Universities and three partner organisations across Europe and is funded by the European Commission under H2020.
i-CONN brings together scientists from Astrophysics, Computer Science, Ecology, Geomorphology, Hydrology, Neuroscience, Systems Biology and Social Science. It recruits and trains 15 young Early Stage Researchers (ESRs) to become experts with a unique skill set that includes interdisciplinary scientific techniques, through bespoke training courses and a series of secondments to partner institutions across the European Union.
This masterclass is coordinated by EDP Sciences’ senior publishing editor Anne Ruimy, with participation from Elsa Couderc (scientific editor), Maria Campbell (marketing and communications manager) and Catherine Brassac (system administrator). During the masterclass, participants will have the opportunity to submit their own articles in preparation to the evaluation of their peers, using EDP Sciences’ new editorial system Nestor.
With this forthcoming event, EDP Sciences is pleased to expand its masterclass programme internationally.
